What happened
What Happened to Omegle?
Omegle closed for good on November 8, 2023, after fourteen years of connecting strangers over text and video. Its founder said that running the site was no longer sustainable, and omegle.com now shows a farewell note instead of a chat window.
The idea behind it never went away. People still search for Omegle TV, an Omegle video call or a way to talk to strangers like they used to, and that is what Omegle Alternative TV is built for. It is not the original Omegle. It is a new place for the same kind of conversation: a random person, a live camera and a next button, with moderation built in from the start.
Features
Why People Choose Omegle Alternative TV
Free random video chat.
Being matched with a stranger costs nothing. You can meet as many new people as you like without paying for a single match.
No sign up to start.
Skip the email, the password and the profile. Your first video call starts without an account.
Works in your browser.
Use it on a phone, a tablet or a laptop. If you want it one tap away, you can install it as a web app for quicker access and notifications.
Moderation that watches the room.
AI content moderation works alongside human moderators. Both people in a call need their faces visible on camera, and when that rule is broken, the moderation system steps in.
Report and block anyone.
If someone crosses a line, block them or send a report. Reports are reviewed with AI tools and by human moderators.
Extras only if you want them.
Random video chat stays free. Optional extras, such as private calls, run on coins, and nothing makes you buy them to keep talking.

Safety
How to Talk to Strangers Safely
A random video chat is only fun when you stay in control. A few habits keep it that way:
-
Keep personal details private. Your full name, address, school, workplace and social media handles do not belong in a chat with someone you just met.
-
Stay on the site. Be careful with anyone who asks you to move to another app, open a link or switch to a private channel straight away.
-
Never send money. A stranger asking for money, gift cards or codes is a scam, whatever the story.
-
Use next, block and report. You never owe anyone a conversation. Leave, block or report the moment something feels wrong.
-
Check the address. Make sure the address bar reads omeglealternative.tv before you buy anything or sign in.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Omegle still working?
No. Omegle shut down on November 8, 2023, and the original site no longer offers chat. Omegle Alternative TV is a separate service where you can still meet random strangers over live video.
Is Omegle Alternative TV free?
Yes. Random video chat is free, and you are never charged for being matched with someone. A few optional extras, such as private calls, use coins.
Do I need to sign up?
No. You can start a video chat without creating an account. Signing up is optional and only matters if you want features that come with an account.
Can I use Omegle Alternative TV on my phone?
Yes. It runs in mobile browsers as well as on tablets and computers, and you can install it as a web app if you want a shortcut on your home screen.
Is Omegle Alternative TV safe?
It is built with safety in mind: AI and human moderators review content and reports, both people must keep their faces visible on camera, and you can block or report anyone. No platform can control what a stranger says, so keep your personal details to yourself and leave any chat that makes you uncomfortable.
Who can use Omegle Alternative TV?
Only people aged 18 or over. Anyone younger is not allowed to use the service.
Is Omegle Alternative TV the same as Omegle TV or Omegle?
No. It is an independent service and not the original Omegle, which closed in 2023. It keeps the same simple idea of meeting a random person on camera with one tap.
